MDHS Scholarship Fund - Physiotherapy

About

The Physiotherapy Department’s vision in teaching and learning is focussed on creating a new generation of exceptional physiotherapists who will be trained to pursue excellence, professional commitment, research and leadership. It is the aim of the scholarship fund to provide support for talented students who would otherwise be unable to complete studies in physiotherapy or higher degree research and to access world-class education at the University of Melbourne.

Benefits

The duration of the scholarship is up to 1 year.  The award is paid in installments with a sum total of $10,000 per year.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship students must be enrolled and have commenced study in an entry-to-practice Physiotherapy degree program. Preference is given to those who are in financial need. This scholarship is open to domestic and international students.

Selection

The scholarship/s will be awarded to the student who demonstrates the most compelling case for support. Particular emphasis will also be given to the applicant/s potential, as set out in the scholarship application, to make a contribution to the discipline of Physiotherapy. Financial circumstances will also be considered.

Application

Eligible students must submit:

• An online Financial Needs Assessment form by the closing date AND,
• A scholarship application form (below), which includes a 750 word statement detailing how the scholarship will support your studies.

Application form

Applications close 6 August 2023, 11:59pm.

Outcome

Successful candidates will be advised of the outcome of their application within 4-6 weeks of the closing date.
