Eligibility

Open to third or fourth-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) student at the University who is in financial need and allocated to the Western Clinical School currently located at Sunshine Hospital and Footscray Hospital.

Selection

Recipients will be selected by the Melbourne Medical School Scholarships and Bursary Allocation Committee made up of senior professional and academic staff members of the School. The selection of recipients is based on the applicant’s financial aid ranking as provided by the University Scholarships office with a preference for students who are allocated to the University’s Western Clinical School.

Application

Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form (Round one) by the closing date.

Applicants will be shortlisted for the Jubilee Scholarship and asked to submit a personal statement if they have made the shortlist.

Outcome

Students will be notified of the student bursary outcomes in May.
