Internal Grants and Fellowships

The University manages a number of internal grant schemes. Many of these involve a preliminary, Faculty-level application process managed by the Faculty's Research Support & Evaluation team, who then coordinate Faculty ranking prior to submission to the relevant team within the University's central Research, Innovation and Commercialisation office.

In addition to these centrally run schemes, Research Support & Evaluation administers a number of funding opportunities that are available exclusively to researchers within the Faculty. These include fellowship establishment grants, a Faculty fellowship and a grant support scheme.

In conjunction with the Faculty Trusts team, Research Support & Evaluation also administers the Faculty Trust Fellowships. While eligibility and assessment criteria for the Trust Fellowships vary on a case by case basis, they are typically open to both internal and external applicants and are available for early to mid-career researchers across different fields of medical research. The Trust Fellowships open for applications late in the year (October / November).
