We are working with a novel, easy-to-use pen-like device, HemaPEN, which will be used as an alternative to venous blood and dried blood spot collection. We are currently testing the precision, integrity and ease of use of this device and optimising protocols for DNA extraction and storage.
This lab-based project is ideal for a student with an interest in biological sampling, biochemistry and/or diagnostic and predictive testing.
