50th Anniversary of Medical Education at the Austin Clinical School Gala Dinner
In 2017, the Melbourne Medical School will be celebrating 50 years since the first intake of medical students at the University of Melbourne’s Austin Clinical School.
The highlight of the celebrations will be a Gala Dinner for Alumni of the Austin Clinical School on Saturday 8th April 2017, in the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
This is a fabulous opportunity to reconnect with your peers, to share memories of your time at university and to celebrate your careers since. This one is shaping up as a night to remember! We have received registrations from very recent graduates right back to some of the earliest cohorts in the '70s.
The evening will feature:
- Two short films about the Austin Clinical School and alumni
- A performance from the Austin Andante String Quartet
- Superb food and wine prepared by Melbourne's own Peter Rowland
- Short presentations from the new Dean of MDHS, Professor Shitij Kapur and others

We are also seeking your ‘Memories of The Austin’ for the Anniversary website, some of which will be featured in the program and in the next edition of Chiron. If you have a memorable moment or story from your history at The Austin please email the MDHS Alumni Relations team.
If you are an alumnus of the Austin Clinical School please join us to mark this significant occasion with a magnificent event. If you are an alumnus and did not receive an invitation we may not have your up-to-date contact details. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
